Frosthaven is a large, daunting, and complex game – but with a rulebook as well-written as this, the game becomes far more accessible than it otherwise may be. There’s definitely still a sense that you’re being thrown in at the deep end, but the rulebook does all it can to make the plunge as comfortable as possible.
If you are interested in an app and have an IOS device Gloomhaven Campaign Tracker is what you are looking for. Frosthaven was recently added and it's really good. Allows you to track as many campaigns as you want. There is an android version as well but I don't think Frosthaven has been added yet.
I do not think 9 is a good idea. There are many reasons for this including table space, campaign flow, and an impossible balancing situation. Your best bet is to have 4 players at one time with shared characters. The campaign relies on a certain retirement pacing. This many players breaks it hard.William Wilson. @dwarf74. Jul 8, 2023.
