Just purchased a Franchi 3.5 Affinity 3.5 for my son and if I were buying a new Turkey gun the Affinity would be my choice regardless of gauge. They are d&t, have oversized bolt, and bolt release.

The stock is the main difference. The M2 is a great gun, but when you factor in the similarities and price, I would go with the Affinity. I have a Affinity 3 and an A400(and a Benelli M2). The Affinity 3 is strictly for hunting for me: it’s got a 26” barrel and is nice and light for quick shots, great fit and finish. The Benelli barrels will not fit the Franchi, location of the lug/recoil spring and the fact the Benelli barrel will probably set you back $500 makes this unfeasible and unrealistic. The shell catch has to be bent (which Benelli customer service did, along with lightening the trigger). Still a bit stiff, but that changes with ammo brand.
