Buyn them at Lowes as hex bolts, belt sand heads to get them smooth and polish with Mother's mag wheel polish. Everyone else uses 5mm x 1mm screws close to USA 1/4-20 NC but BMW has to be different! I.I think they're 1/4-14x5/8" or something like that. I just replaced mine a few days ago but got 3/4" long ones instead because the license plate frame I got is thicker plastic and the stock ones didn't want to stay put (and were rusted to hell anyway).
